Why track the trend, not the day

Bodyweight swings by one to two kilograms day to day from water, sodium, glycogen and digestion — noise that has nothing to do with fat gain or loss. A single weigh-in is almost meaningless; the trend across many readings is the signal. That's why this tracker draws a 7-point moving average (the dashed line) over your raw entries: it smooths out the daily noise so you can see the real direction.

Your data never leaves your device

Every entry is stored only in your own browser (using localStorage). Nothing is sent to a server, there's no account, and no health data is shared with anyone — including us. Use Export data to keep your own backup file, and Import datato restore it or move it to another browser.

How to use it

Add a weigh-in for any date (re-adding the same date updates that entry). Weigh yourself under consistent conditions where you can — first thing in the morning, after using the bathroom, in similar clothing — and aim for a few readings per week rather than chasing a daily number.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my data stored?

Entirely in your browser's local storage on this device. It is never uploaded. Clearing your browser data or using private/incognito mode will remove it, so export a backup if it matters.

Can I track measurements other than weight?

Waist is supported today (a useful complement to weight, since it reflects body-composition change even when the scale stalls). More measurements are planned.

Why a 7-point average instead of 7-day?

The average is over your last seven entries, so it works whether you log daily or a few times a week. Log consistently and the points approximate a weekly trend.
